When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened. But to Jonah this seemed very wrong, and he became angry.
(Jonah 3:10-4:1 NIV)
Jonah was upset that God had mercy on the Ninevites, a people known for their wickedness. As human beings, we—like Jonah—tend to decide who is and isn’t deserving of mercy. But, do any of us deserve God’s mercy?
ACTION: Ask God to save any people or groups you may feel are undeserving of His mercy—and thank God for the mercy He has given you.
