“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
(Matthew 25:40 NIV)
After saying this to those on His right—those who are blessed and will inherit God’s kingdom (Matt. 25:34)—the King says to those on His left, “Depart from me, you who are cursed … For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me” (vv.41-43). To ignore the marginalized among us is to turn away from God Himself.
ACTION: In the midst of our busy lives, what are some practical ways you can serve those in need? Find something you can do today.
