“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Jesus was addressing the legalistic, self-righteous religious practices of His day. Burdensome to everyday people, these practices involved rule after rule that the Pharisees took pride in keeping. Jesus offers rest from this; instead, inviting us to walk with Him, yoked alongside Him. Jesus offers a relationship, not religiosity.
ACTION: Surrender your burdens to Jesus. He will give you rest.
